A total of 6,073 tax returns were completed for low income families in the St. Louis metropolitan area.  This is an increase of almost 10% over the prior year! Refunds totaling almost $8,000,000 were returned to these low income families free of charge, using electronic filing.  Additionally, another $1,600,000 was saved by our clients not having to pay tax preparation fees. More than 100 volunteers were involved in providing this terrific service for their communities.

More than $3,000,000 was returned to GECC clients through the Earned Income Tax Credit.

A total of 5,542 tax returns were completed for low income families in the St. Louis  metropolitan area.  Refunds totaling $6,399,604 were generated from these returns for low income families in our community free of charge. EITC in excess of $2,800,000 was returned to our clients.
